Why these PDF tools are different
Private by design
Your files are processed on your own device with JavaScript. Nothing is uploaded, logged or stored, so there’s nothing to leak.
Fast, with no waiting
No upload or download queue. Work starts the moment you choose a file, even for large documents.
Free, without catches
No account, no watermark and no daily limits. There are no servers doing the work, so there’s nothing to charge for.
Most online PDF services upload your document to their servers to process it. These tools use pdf-lib and PDF.js to do the same work inside your browser tab instead. You can check this yourself: open your browser’s network tab while using a tool and you’ll see that no file is sent.
Working with photos? The free image tools compress images and convert iPhone HEIC photos to JPG the same private way.
Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. The tool runs entirely in your web browser using JavaScript. Your files are read from your device, processed in memory and saved straight back to it. They are never uploaded, stored or seen by anyone.
Is it really free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit. Because all the work happens on your own device, there are no servers to pay for.
Do the tools work on my phone?
Yes. They work in any modern browser on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS. Very large files are easier to handle on a computer, which has more memory.
Who built these tools?
They were built by Tek Min Ewe, a senior software engineer, using Next.js, pdf-lib and PDF.js. They’re part of his portfolio and show how much can be done safely on the client side.
